Offering up data and things that they can use for free will prove that you truly care about them and not only your profit margin, but you already know that. Its attractive to put at least one affiliate link into each e-mail but resist. Stick together with what you know to be true!
Promote some other peoples offers. This does a couple of things for you. It demonstrates to the recipients that you only want to guide them and builds good will among the recipients. It also opens the door for your being able to possibly market products to those other peoples lists in the future. This makes it possible to bring in a broader audience which helps you generate more sales.
If you are not supposed to send lots of e-mails, how precisely are you supposed to do all of this? Make a new e-zine. Ask folks to check out your newsletter and then address it as exactly that. This will allow you to do a couple of things within your newsletter that you would otherwise be attempting to do in a bunch of different e-mails.
